ITINERARY

​

Our Spanish-speaking driver will collect you at the hotel lobby, he will bring a cooler full of beers so you can try the local flavor. He will drive to the city to meet our English-speaking guide. The first destination will be the Panama Canal Visitors’ Center at Miraflores Locks where ships can be seen transiting the waterway (Depending on the Canal schedule).

We will drive around the famous Cerro Ancon inside the former U.S. Canal Zone and out to the islands along the Amador Causeway for the best view of Panama’s skyline and a stop at the colorful PANAMA sign and newly built Biomuseo biodiversity museum designed by internationally renowned architect, Frank Gehry.

Then, our guide will help you discover the vibrant nightlife of the Casco Antiguo (Old Quarter), which awakens after an intense day. In its 12 main streets, there are countless options: bars, discos, popular rooftops, tapas and wine restaurants, jazz sites, live bands with tropical music, electronics, reggae, reggaeton, salsa, merengue, hip-hop, rock, and much more.

 

Finally, around midnight we will head back to your resort.

IMPORTANT: At the Miraflores Visitor Center there is a major renovation going on so the line to buy the ticket may last 15 minutes or more. The Imax movie is about 35 minutes, but if a Ship is passing by, it is better to see the real action.

WHAT TO BRING:  Country ID, Comfortable shoes, Light & and comfortable clothes, Cash (USD) for meals,  alcoholic beverages, and souvenirs.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:  Easy, some stairs. Most travelers can participate.
