​Begin your adventure in Metropolitan Natural Park, a lush 265-hectare rainforest nestled within the city. It is one of the best spots to observe wildlife, including sloths and howler monkeys, which are frequently spotted in the trees. This park is an excellent place to get close to Panama’s diverse flora and fauna while being just minutes away from the urban center. Visitors can enjoy several trails, some leading to panoramic viewpoints of Panama City and the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, you can also spot tropical birds, including toucans and parrots, making it a great spot for birdwatching as well​.​

Next, visit the Former U.S. Canal Zone, which holds significant historical value. This area was under U.S. control for much of the 20th century and played a key role in the construction and operation of the Panama Canal. While the zone was primarily a military and administrative district, it also features colonial-style homes and buildings that date back to the American presence in Panama. Exploring this area provides insight into the historical relationship between Panama and the United States, as well as the strategic importance of the Panama Canal in global trade.

Continue your tour with a photo opportunity at the Biomuseo, one of Panama’s most iconic buildings, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. Located on the Causeway Amador, the museum’s colorful and dynamic architecture reflects the biodiversity of Panama, which played a pivotal role in the formation of the Earth's ecosystems. The museum's exhibits focus on the unique flora and fauna of Panama, and the building’s striking design makes it a must-see for visitors​.

Finish your day with a walking tour of Casco Antiguo, Panama City's historic old town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This district is known for its colonial architecture, charming plazas, and vibrant cultural life. Wander through cobblestone streets and explore landmarks like the Panama Cathedral, Plaza de la Independencia, and the National Theatre. The area is filled with colorful buildings, art galleries, boutique shops, and local cafes, giving you a glimpse into Panama’s past and its modern-day culture. This is also an excellent spot for enjoying local cuisine or relaxing in one of the rooftop bars with a view of the city skyline.
