The Monkey Island & Sloth Natural Habitat Tour departs from Dreams Playa Bonita at 8:30 AM or 1:15 PM and offers an unforgettable 5-hour adventure deep into the heart of the Panama Canal watershed—without crossing any of the canal’s locks.. Aboard a covered high-speed boat, you'll cruise along Gatun Lake, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world, surrounded by dense tropical rainforest teeming with wildlife.
As you approach Monkey Island, you'll have the chance to see playful capuchin, howler, and titi monkeys up close in their natural environment—often hopping from tree to tree or even venturing near the boat.
One of the most unique aspects of this experience is the surreal contrast of nature and industry: it’s not uncommon to find yourself gliding alongside massive cargo ships and cruise liners as they navigate the historic Panama Canal, just a stone’s throw away from the untouched jungle.
