Your adventure will begin when one of our expert guides will collect you from Colon Home Port around 8:30 am - the meeting point is Subway Restaurant near Super 99 Supermarket. It is 400 meters away from the Gangway - please see the MAP.

 

We will drive for about an hour along the canal and Chagre National Park while your guide will share interesting information about Panama and prepare you for your visit with the Emberá people.

Ride a canoe up the Chagres River, walk in the rainforest (depending on weather conditions), and visit a traditional Embera village on a full-day trip from Panama City. Learn about traditional food, culture, and dances on this 7-hour tour, which includes pickup and drop-off at your Panama City hotel. Sit down and watch a dance that depicts Embera’s relationship with the natural world. Before departing the village, shop for traditional handicrafts and souvenirs made by local people.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:  Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level.

• The tribe only serves fried fish and plantains. If you have any dietary restrictions we advise you to bring your food. 

• We will offer Panamanian fruits like pineapple, tangerine, and orange.

• We will confirm the pickup time the day before your tour date.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

• For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours* before the experience's start time.

• If you cancel less than 24 hours* before the experience's start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
